Just Swell

You may remember earlier in the year that I had to get fitted for a mouthpiece guard for my TMJ.

At the time I had a small  'bump' on my jaw.
As the doctor had full jaw Xrays to hand, I asked him if he could check it out for me.

He said that there was nothing to worry about.
About 6 weeks ago, I saw my GP and she gave me a course of antibiotics, thinking there may be an infection.

Well, a month later my 'bump' has turned into a rather large 'lump', so, joy of joys, a visit to the dentist has been booked for Tuesday.

Why does this always have to happen over a double Bank Holiday weekend?

I hope you all have slightly jollier things to look forward to next week!

Fingers Crossed!

That I get to the Fair, that is!
Blog link
Since I've come back from Plymouth I have only got out of the house once!

So...if I don't get snowed in (!), all roads lead to Abington Park tomorrow. This is a first for Trevor and the gang, and the Museum is a great building and, in my eyes, a perfect setting for all things vintage.

I found the above photo on the Fairs' Facebook page; Trevor had downloaded it, courtesy of NBC. This was how it looked in the early 1900's.
The park in the summer...last year, the year before???
Hopefully the weather will be kind, as the park is a great place for a gentle stroll. There are a selection of birds in aviaries and there are loads of squirrels too.

Have a great weekend, whatever you're up to!

Goody Box

The other week I ordered a 'Goody Box' from The Craft Barn.

Basically it's made up of all their odds and sods; but they are exceptional value; £15 + £2 p&p, for a box valued at least 50 quid! They don't sell these that often, so it's quite a treat to get one.

I haven't photographed the contents (yet!), but I DID take this photo of a cutie Tabby really enjoying the empty box!

 So darn cute!

A Great Day

It was another lovely day weather wise today, and the sun was as bright as I felt.

I had arranged to meet Pearl at midday.

We had a lovely natter over cake and coffee at the Richmond Tea Rooms; the insides of which are decorated in an Alice In Wonderland theme. We were ushered through to the back room as it was so busy. It was not as highly decorated, but was extremely pleasant, and I look forward to going there again and hopefully, taking Mr B with me!

It was really exciting to chat with Pearl. It is weird how things happen but she is going to Guest Curate an exhibition at the Northampton Shoe Museum, which is practically on my doorstep, so I'll get to see her more often, which is great.

It is my last day in Manchester, and, as always, there are things on the list that haven't been done, this time!

But I did get my regular haircut and colour. I love seeing Kerry and Natalie at Carringtons. I just wish they were in Northampton rather than 200 (or however many it is) miles away!

 My 'goodies' from yesterday.

 My first pair of creepers!

I'd seen these earrings and bracelet in Topshop at home, but it feels more of a 'treat' to get them up here!

So, one more breakfast and then it's off down to Plymouth for the week. Looking forward to being by the seaside!

Today, Matthew, I'm Going To Be*

A 'Betty' at Hollisters.

A goofy-foot surfer against this lovely projection of Huntington Beach, that is shown on the back wall!

Mind you, I really am a Guess girl at heart!

Mr B treated me to a beautiful bag and a lovely, soft scarf based on the USA flag.
Lucky me, or what?
