A Very Sad Day

Today Mr B handed in his keys and swipe card.

Tomorrow is his last day with a company that, between us, has been part of our lives for about 30 years.

He was not made redundant, but had his contract terminated "due to capability". Because of his osteoarthritis he was not able to carry out his contractual duties and was deemed to be a 'risk' whilst working on and around the stage.

It is terribly sad, but we will soldier on and look forward to whatever the future throws at us!

I hope you will join us on our journey!

St David's Day

Happy St David's Day!

I used to be in St David's House at school, and as well as wearing yellow pullovers as part of the uniform, on the first of March we were all given a daffodil to wear.

Now I live with a partner who has Welsh roots, so it is still a celebration day in my life.

Mr B found these brave little bulbs tucked away in a cold, dark corner of our garden the other day.
No soil, no light but still bursting forth with so much vigour.
A feast for the eyes and the nose.
(And a note to self to pot them up and put a marker in the pot too!)
