Cheers!

Cheers, m'dears. Here's wishing anyone who passes by a very lovely festive time, with lots of memory making.

video

I have to admit I have never been entertained by medication before but thought these pink pills were a giggle the way they pop up to the top of the glass. Thought I'd live dangerously, and did the final lot in a cocktail glass as a video opportunity!

I had visit to the GP this afternoon, (under duress, as Mr Blossom was rather concerned). So am on another antibiotic. Hey ho!

Still, I am at home, with my chap and the cats. In one piece, with something that will get better, so I'm doing OK! Mr Blossom has done all the food shopping-exceeding well too, and we may get the flat looking a bit more festive, but it really doesn't matter, does it? I've been enjoying everyone elses deccies and that has been really lovely, so thank you all for that.

Have a great time,

Don't say s'not cos snots not nice

A not too good picture of my goodies from This'n'That, Totnes from the end of October!
And my first ever FQ and crafty bits from Totnes. I owe Sal (Snippets) a huge big thank you for telling us about this brilliant town and I will leave a message...one day!

This is one set of spoons from the antiques market weeks ago...

...and this is the other one, which I guess are egg spoons. (Which shows them before I cleaned them).

You see, I'm trying to perk myself up, as I am feeling rubbish in bed with a bug. Yuck! On steroids and antibiotic...eventually, as the prescription from the o-o-h Drs got lost on its way from the fax machine to the chemist which ended up with me in tears on the phone to the Primary Healthcare Trust, being a VERY unhappy bunny! The lady who sorted it out, (which took 2 hours), was brilliant but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Still, Mr Blossom starts his holidays tomorrow - hooray! Not quite 'bring it (Christmas) on', but almost.

Try and keep those bugs at bay,

Bicycle Basket Bazaar

Saturday promises to be good. Having my swine flu jab in the morning(!)(good?)(am I mad?), then a local church has its Christmas Fair and in the afternoon there's this

Ann and Debbie, who organised the brilliant Fair the other week, have a bicycle basket there. It is on the last Saturday of the month-with a couple of extras in December-and we went to our first one last month, which had a Halloween theme. Now I know what to expect I am ready to purchase a few bits of home produce! Even tho' I was with Mr Blossom I had a bit of a panic attack, but stayed, so tomorrow I have to do it on my own...argh! But it is very jolly and friendly so I'm sure I'll be fine. And hopefully will get to meet Debbie. I met her charming daughter on the stall at the Fair, but missed Debbie (doesn't help when I don't know what she looks like!).

There is a great cafe there too, run by Tamsin and she is doing a 'Super-8 Supper Club' on the 4th December, with movies, live music and a scrummy sounding meal with wine. I haven't bought my ticket yet but hope to get there.

I hope it is OK to download these photos as am not sure how the copyright thing works? But I do it with the best of intentions!

Thank you

I don't know about this blogging process being a steep learning curve, it seems more like a whole lot of humpback bridges!

I've decided to put all the 'bits' I want to use in one folder on my desktop before I start as I think I really need to work out a system to catalogue my photos so it is easier to locate individual shots. That's what took so long the other night.

Wednesday was a great day. I walked through the park to the Drs surgery. The weather was beautiful, but windy. I adore my cats but it is fab to sneak a few snuffles and tailwags from the dogs being walked. What a treat! Then onto Sixfields and a snoop around Homebase, getting treats for the birds. Across the road to Hobbycraft, and a whole load of delights. (Some of which will be in a future blog).

This is a picture of what we call the Lucky Tower. It was the Express Lifts Tower where they installed lifts to make sure they worked before installing them in their proper place. We just call it that as it was there on the horizon as we moved all our stuff up here and it just means 'home' to us. Plus we can see it from the garden, which is great at Christmas as there is usually lights on the top, in the shape of a tree. It has been threatened with demolition but I think it safe now, which to me is great as it is something unique to here.

I may not be getting on with my blogging as fast as I would like, but going out like this is so good. On Tuesday I went to Homesense and the big BHS and had a coffee there. So what?, I hear you say. Well, there was no reason, I just went out. Now, considering not too long ago I sometimes couldn't even put the bins out, you see how momentous going out for no reason is. My meds were increased during the summer and I really seem to be on the mend. I can't juggle all the balls yet but each one as an individual is getting stronger. I am beginning to feel like me again and it is amazing.
AND A LOT OF IT IS DOWN TO THE UNKNOWN SUPPORT OF ALL YOU BLOGGERS . You have given me inspiration-what you create, how you cope, your lovely homes. I feel I have quite a long way to go but, hey, a challenge is good.

Hells' Bells

I've just deleted my new post with photos and everything. It is really late and I can't bear to spend another hour faffing around.
Night night.

Italian Market

Well, they say good things come in threes. Thank you for your welcoming comments, my 3 followers. I have added a photo of me, mainly so Northampton followers know what to look out for at the Vintage Fair tomorrow. Sorry I can't get to meet you as well Mel (Shabby Chick),but if I come to Salisbury I'll let you know. Not totally unlikely as we used to live in Southsea and did day trips there, so you never know!

We had an antiques fair in the Market Square yesterday and today was the first of 2 days of the Italian Market. Yum!
The pictures were supposed to go under the writing. Oops!
Cheers, m'dears for your kind wishes,

It's growing!

I am being extraordinarily slow at getting this blog together. But today I have added a yummy background from Backgroundfairy.com, which I think I should be able to directly link from here, but there is a link on the left. Oo, so much to learn!

Woohoo! 1st post

Having read so many wonderful, inspiring pieces I have decided to celebrate my birthday by starting my own. This will take a while as I have to make decisions! Heading, background, which pictures to upload first, so please bear with me; I will try to make it worth your while. Have a great day and thanks for your inspiration!
