On The Second Day Of Christmas...

...an angel delivered a sachet of Tanzanian Kibo Dark!
OK, a bit of a psychotic looking angel
To be fair I was in my jimmies and hoping that the bus wasn't going to go past As I stuck my head outta the door!
And I was having 'a bad head' episode.

It's all in the eyes, y'know!!

Check out my 'new' leaded windows. Neat, huh?

On The First Day Of Christmas...

...Tabby helped me open my 'Advent Calendar of Coffee'.

25 different flavours of my favourite brew.

Todays flavour was "Peru Treasure of the Andes".

I bought this online from Imperial Teas (!) of Lincoln after reading a Facebook comment from a friend of a friend. So glad I did! A cafetiere of classy coffee every day for the next 25 days.
Heaven!

Mancunian Architechture

New next door to the old. Quite a mix; I much prefer the old, so beautiful, so much detail.

A  very long walk by the canal and around the Northern Quarter, followed by iced coffees, vanilla chai cake with frosting and beetroot and courgette cake at Oklahoma.
Totally yummy!

Last Saturday I Filmed This. This Saturday I'm Going To The Vintage Fair (now with added 'boom arm')

Forever mentioned in  the likes of "Heat" and "New!" magazine, the vision that is Peter Andre visited Northampton last weekend to plug his 2 new fragrances.

I must admit, I am not a fan, but he did seem to be a genuinely nice guy; yes, there were a lot of screaming girls, but quite a few blokes ready to shake his hand too.

It was a total surprise, didn't know he was going to be there; and there I am in the thick of it all, 'boom arm' out with me camera, not batting an eyelid!
Whereas yesterday had to cancel my appointment with the nurse for a blood pressure re-check, 'cos I was I was getting into a bit of a state! (Yeah, bet that was good for the ole BP!)

Hurrah! Another of Trevor's Vintage Fairs and then a trip to the Italian Café.
Woop! Woop!
Here's to the weekend!

Ditsy Belle #17 - OOTD

Oh yes...another day, another version of iced coffee!
Starbucks iced coffee frappe. No cream, no ice cream, lots of  crushed ice and very, very nice.

Mind you, sitting in the drive-thru coffee shop, it was raining that really fine rain that soaks you through, (Peter Kay joke there), and it looked bloody miserable and wintery outside. But of course it would...it's The Balloon Festival weekend!

Blue T-shirt & shoes, TK Maxx
Khaki trousers, Evans (I think)
Eiffel Tower necklace, Briony @ the Vintage Fair
(Present from Mr B)

Ditsy Belle #13 - Food

I have photographed these 'Yo-Yos' before.

Small Viennese-y/shortbread-y loveliness from Muffin Break.
Washed down with a glass of iced coffee for me and a café latte for him.

And, in a bizarre, has-to-be-done-sort-of-way , a scan of 'Meteor Crunch'.

I mean, when we have been up until 2 am the last 2 nights to watch the Perseid's meteor showers, it has to be shown, doesn't it?
And, they look like the yo-yos too!

New Kid On The Foodie Block

I don't know how long 'wraps' have been around, but I've never fancied one until today.

They always struck me as an anaemic-looking roll of pap.

Until encountering the newly opened, (well, to me anyway!), Muffin Break.
OMG! as they say. A yummy, YUMMY roast beef wrap. Loads of fresh crispy salad and lovely, tasty and generous portion of roast beef. Did I say it was yummy?

We shared the wrap and had a 'Yo-Yo' each; a cute little ball-shaped custard cream-type biscuit, all crispy-crunchy. Enough to enjoy and savour, but not so much to make me feel guilty!

And a cute smiley face that peered back at me as I finished my cappuccino. What's not to love?
And yes, it was a great coffee too!
We will be back! (Tomorrow????)
