The Prettiest Boy In Da 'Hood

I'm stuffed full of catarrh and haven't been out of the house since Wednesday, when I had an osteopath appointment in Brum.
Sadly, the one other thing I bought back with me other than a big red folder for my Holiday Grand Plan, (thank you Tcakes for alerting me to this), was a stinking cold that has given me a big red nose!!

Yeah, I am feeling very sorry for myself!

So, I am treating myself to some eye candy!
the gorgeous Micheal Praed
Y'see, Robin in Nottingham was not the first Robin I had met!

Mr B had covered on the tour of Copacabana years back and when it came to Southampton, we had the opportunity to see the show together and we walked back to the railway station with Micheal, chatting away as tho' we'd been mates for life.
He was lovely and a gent.

And, following on from the previous knitting post...how do you combine knitting with Robin Hood?

With vintage Robinoid needles, of course!

knobfast???????
Lovely red plastic needles sadly a tad too big to knit my socks on.

again...knobfast????
But they look great don't they?

East West Kaffe's Best

Maybe I'll get to see Kaffe Fassett next year.

ooo..lovely, lovely books!
But this year I 'made do' with sitting in his throne!

What caught my eye on the other side of the stand?
I first found out about him when I was a student, (but I don't want to make him feel old!), in a book of all sorts of things to make to wear, including one his knitwear designs.

I never made it but just used to revel in the lushness of the colour and design.

just how many fat quarters does one girl need?

Only a week before I took delivery of a 'few' balls of wool, including some Kaffe-designed Rowan yarn, which I've earmarked for some socks.

Now, that should be a laugh...fine gauge yarn, four needles and one of those Japanese knitting patterns.
I could be gone some time!!!

Willkommen! Bienvenue! Welcome!

Spent the day at The Festival of Quilts.

Never been before; it was fantastic.

So desperate to post the giant colour rush, but am too knackered.

More to follow...

Holiday Kickback

New shoes!!!!
I first saw these in TK Maxx in Milton Keynes; just one lone pair in a size 6, that were too big!
The cheapest place I could track them down to was ASOS.
This was the first time I have ordered from them and they were brilliant!
The de Havilland order packers could learn a lesson from them on how to pack a box of shoes so they don't arrive in a battered box!

Celebrating Mr B being on his summer break by having drinks at Starbucks today.

Which is sort of my 'excuse' for not blogging or commenting.
But I have been reading your posts!

We went to Birmingham on Friday and saw this wicker jumping horse on a traffic island outside the Indoor Market.
Rather lovely isn't it?
Some of you may remember my 'Wicker Wednesday' posts?
(Here, here, the Wicker Wednesday Whicker Island post and some more Brummie wicker here, to give you a taster!)
Hope the links give you a giggle.

I Wanna Meet My Blogging Mate!

Cam Poe this is for you!

I saw this when grocery shopping yesterday and thought "I know, I'll open this tomorrow whilst thinking about my bloggy mate."
We were going to meet in Brum today, but Life gets in the way. Cameron Poe had left me a comment about the new Galaxy chocolate a couple of posts ago, saying I must try it.

Having looked back at the comment, it was HONEYCOMB Galaxy, not caramel!
Still, sure this'll taste yummy and we will get to meet up some time!

Spanish Week @ Pennyblossoms

Hola! from Euroblossoms!

Here we have another video from Mr B. Again, as with the swifty-swallows yesterday, this was filmed about 7 o'clock in the morning, after the crew had worked through the night!

I was a busy ZoZo today; had my hair cut at lunchtime, met Mr B for lunch, (he's on his summer break), and then had my Support Worker come and visit. Phew!

Off to Brum tomorrow, to see the osteopath. I missed an appointment cos' I couldn't get there and had to cancel a couple of appointments due to root canal tooth treatment, so am in dire need of a crunch! Mind you, Andrew specialises in Cranial Osteopathy, which is much gentler.

Another meeting with the SW on Thursday, doctors appointment Friday and then THIS

Still haven't download my photos from the Vintage Garden Party. I do believe that dear Margaret is probably still waiting to see her photo up 'in lights', so to speak. So...

...looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!

Wicker Wednesday 2

A woven wicker shoe in Birmingham City Centre.
One of the exhibits in the Floral Trail.

This was taken as an OOTD photo, ooo, in July I think!
It also features another wicker display...

Sadly, during the riots, it appears that the lippy and mascara wand were ripped off. (Probably used to try and break the windows of either a sportswear or mobile phone shop, I guess!)

And, just for a giggle...

Many thanks for your kind words on my previous post. Stuff happened, as it does, but I think I'm getting all ship-shape again!
